Van İpekyolu Municipality

The project has been designed for a national architectural project competition that was opened by Van İpekyolu Municipality. The main approach is to provide participatory municipality while designing the Municipality Building. It is also aimed to maximize public access to the municipality and its’ services. In contrary to enclosed structure of the existing public buildings, the structure is shaped to create a living open space that comprehend public. The concepts of permeability, transparency and fragmentation are taken into consideration and it is planned within the framework of these concepts. Therefore, instead of a single integrated mass, a system consisting of several parts coming together is preferred.
